Shiver House V4, forms part of Australia’s Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail. Measuring 7m x 7m and standing 5m high, the aluminium structure features 2,500 counterweighted polycarbonate shingles that respond to wind, rain, and snow, creating a constantly shifting, “animal-like” form. This ever-changing movement draws visitors into a deeper connection with the surrounding landscape, encouraging moments of reflection and presence. Building on previous iterations in Finland and France, Shiver House V4 continues NEON’s exploration of architecture that feels alive, fostering lasting emotional bonds between people and place while contributing to the trail’s celebration of resilience and renewal in a region recovering from the Black Summer bushfires.
